This week we have had the plasterer in to finish setting the wall that we had built earlier and also we have emptied out most of the floor cupboards in preparation for demo day at the end of the month .

We bought some big storage tubs from the Reject Shop and have taken a lot of things down to our storage shed .

M is confident that he will be able to salvage the drawer unit and the kitchen cabinet beside it for use as our temporary kitchen while we will be totally out of action.

Luckily, we have a fairly large lounge room and we have moved the couch forward so we can store things up against the wall.

This will become our temporary kitchen luckily it looks like we are only going to be out of action for about 10 days

All our appliances have now arrived and are with the cabinet maker. We have bought a new oven that we are really looking forward to using as it has a load of functions, including steam, cooking and air frying, as well as the usual fan forced oven.  Click on the image below to learn more about it.

The hot plates I have bought have knob controls rather than press controls that our current hot plates have which have proved to be a little difficult to see sometimes.  Again, Click on the image below to learn more about it.

60cm Ceramic Electric Cooktop

The title of this post mentions a glitch and that would be that I had a fall and broke my wrist quite badly and needed surgery to insert plates .  This has meant that I have not been able to do any of the packing up and removal of the kitchen. It is extremely frustrating to say the least.

The next step from here will be disconnection of the electricity and plumbing, removal of all the floor cabinets, and the removal and relaying of floor tiles.  Stay tuned.
