This morning saw Tim the plasterer back to re-board the walls that were removed thanks to the mould.
I was very lucky he was able to come today as by his standards, this is only a short job and he had another short job later on in the afternoon.
The plaster board is all fixed and set, but he won’t have time to do the final sanding. That is not really a problem as M is perfectly capable of finishing off and repainting once everything has finished. I was very impressed with Tim, as when he was finished he handwashed the entire kitchen floor for me as he knew it was fresh grout.
In amongst everything else, our air-conditioning unit decided not to play nice and wouldn’t drain properly 😢
Luke, our electrician /air-conditioning mechanic turned up to give the Aircon a good clean and service and it’s working fine now 👍😀
Just after Tim and Luke had left, I got a phone call from Mitchell the cabinet maker wondering if I was home and could he come and do final check measurements?
I said yes I was and everything has been double checked, and all is on track for installation.
For the rest of the day, I tried to get some cleaning done, moving furniture backwards and forward to let the robovac get into as much as I can. I needed to barricade the kitchen as the tlier did not recommend to let the vac in there for a week or so to let the grout set properly. He said I can sweep and a damp mop only for now.
Tomorrow I have a day off and then the next day the cabinet maker arrives and all starts coming together.
